Weight Loss Chart

Gastric bypass is surgery some people chose to undergo to lose weight. The bypass surgery is performed on people who have morbid obesity. This procedure divides the stomach and rearranges the small intestine. The surgery aims to reduce the size of the stomach through the new arrangement. As an effect of the surgery, the patients lose weight because they 00004000 end up with "smaller" stomachs because of the operation. As you know, if you have smaller stomachs, you tend to get full easily and you also tend to eat less. This is why gastric bypass can help you lose weight easily. For those who have been into a gastric bypass, the Gastric bypass weight loss charts may be used to help keep track of weight loss.

There are variations of the procedure, first is the gastric bypass roux en-y proximal, roux en-y distal and lastly loop gastric by pass also known as a mini bypass. Surgeons decide on what type of procedure to push through with patients. These patients never gain weight again because of the procedure. Weight loss due to gastric bypass occurs quickly than most diets and exercises. This is primarily due to the smallness of the intestines that is easily filled with when one eats. To help you further monitor the progress of your weight loss program after the surgery, the gastric bypass weight loss chart is an excellent tool.

There are however psychological effects that are attributed to the gastric bypass procedure. It has been one of the observations that patients who undergo gastric bypass tend to suffer side effects such as depression because of lessened food intake. Also, the gastric bypass procedure has serious psychological effects on patients that they sometimes need the psychological help of an expert in order to help them cope up with the surgery after effects. To help you monitor your recovery and progress after the surgery, the gastric bypass weight loss chart will make things easy for you.

Other than the initial surgery attributed to the surgery, often times the patient still has to undergo a further surgery to trim down the excess skin. Before and after the gastric bypass surgery, the patients will be preoccupied with the physical and the psychological effects of the operation and gastric bypass weight loss charts will show results of the surgery.

Gastric bypass has many benefits and after patients have lost weight it is fun to look at their weight loss charts. A thorough research should also be made about the risks involved in gastric bypass. One of the risks is mortality due to complications. The complications of gastric bypass are usually due to preexisting factors like heart disease, diabetes mellitus, and pulmonary embolism.

  12. QUESTION:
    Weight loss chart website?
What is the website that tells you if you eat x calories a day then you'll weigh x lbs by some date? Do you kn

    • ANSWER:
I'm not sure about that, but this website below tells you the amount of calories you need to maintain, as well as the amount of calories you need to eat in order to lose 1 lb of fat per week.

So, you can calculate it from there. For example, if (using this website) you found out that you needed (random number) 2,200 calories to maintain your weight, and every day you ate 2,000 calories, you could easily find out that after 18 days, you'd have (diet alone) created a calorie-deficit of 3,600 calories which is enough to lose 1 pound (1 pound = 3,500 calories).

i hope you continue this diet in a healthy way.

    Hi!
I'm a 16 year old and have some problems with my weight.I weigh on about 81kg and as an adolescent like me should weigh in about 51-64 if I'm not mistaken.I started out with my weight loss plan by cycling for about an hour or so and I eat only during the day etc. morning (9am) and evening (2pm).I'm trying to avoid on eating during dinner time cause sometimes I can go overboard.I'm planning on eating bread only during dinner time and avoid drinking too much water before going to bed (is that a right thing?).Do you guys have a better eating chart/weight loss plan? (not the ones that are too extreme)
Please reply on this thank you : )

    • ANSWER:
Firstly, drink lots of water! It helps control your appetite, and not drinking before going to bed won't really do anything. You may find it helpful to consume the same amount of calories, but throughout the day and night until a few hours before you go to sleep, just be sure to be consistent about how many calories you intake in a day.

What is the best way to chart caloric intake , exercise, and weight loss??
I have been unable to lose weight and of course need to
eat less( im weighing my food now to get accurate calorie
count) while keeping sodium between 1000 and 2000 mg
per day. I exercise on a treadmill which tells me how many
calories I burn in a given session and of course I have the
digital scale which shows my actual weight.

Is there a software program that allows you to input these
and/or other data to produce a graph or is a traditional
hand plotted graph the suggested route??

    please advise.

    • ANSWER:
I found this on this website. There are more tips and info.

      1. If what you are eating has less than 1 carb, count it as 1 carb just to be sure.

      2. Totally avoid caffine at least for the first two weeks on the program.

      3. Drink a MINIMUM of 8 glasses of plain water or seltzer daily.

      4. Don't weigh yourself more than once a week

      5. Take starting measurements as well as weight - sometimes you'll lose inches before pounds

      6. Avoid any type of "low carb" sweetener for the first two weeks

      7. Don't compare your loss to someone else's - this is a YMMV thing (your milage may vary)

      8. Stalls are common around the third week so don't panic

      9. If you follow your plan to the T and don't lose, consider Candida as a possibility and avoid vinegar, cheese, mushrooms and any other fermented food

      10. Have bloodwork done before starting so you have a comparison

      11. Cholesterol can be elevated in the first few weeks til your body adjusts - make sure your doctor knows that you're doing low carb and when you started

      12. Don't blame the diet if you don't read your plan book -- blame the diet if you don't read the labels -- Don't blame the diet if you don't follow the diet

    Weight loss, and herbal supplements?
    I am a female, 5"7" and I weigh, on average, 123.
I know that I am "healthy," according to many weight loss calculation charts.
However, I have excess fat on my tummy, thighs, and butt.

Today, I bought "smart cleanse" - the 30 day supplements.
I do NOT have an eating disorder, I am VERY aware of the dangers of going about losing weight that way.

What I'm asking from the community (you,) is to share success stories, advice, and lots of details.
    This is my plan:
-eat a 200 calorie breakfast, with my coffee
-skip lunch, or eat no more than 300 calories (i get out of school at 2:50)
-eat at 5 pm (no more than 400 calories)
-exercise (jogging) for 30 minutes, at least a few times a week

Based on your expierience, how fast can I lose 10-15 pounds with this plan?
Once again, I'm not looking for ignorant responses that state the unessecary, and the obvious, ect.

I plan on going about this the healthy way, but I also want my calorie intake to remain below 600 a day, for at LEAST the first week. Because, I know you lose more the first few days than anything.

I realize that, I do, but what I'm looking for is
    - expiriences
    - advice thats true and effective
    - information and details on how much weight i'll lose by following the above ^^^
because it will provide me with real knowledge and inspire me to lose my desired 10 pounds, minimum

    • ANSWER:
      Pointers on Losing Weight Safely

People who want to lose weight commonly, and first of all, think about reducing the amount of food they eat. This may be quite a solution but not exactly the best there is. In fact, depending on the amount you reduce in your food intake, it may even be dangerous to one's health. So how does one lose weight effectively and safely? Here are some points one should consider when trying to lose weight:

      Beware of the Crash Diets

Most people think that trimming down the calories can alone shed off their unwanted excess. Probably this is because of the fad there is in advertising about low-calorie food products and beverages. What people don't know is that this could be dangerous because when they decrease their calorie intake way to below the required levels, the body begins to digest the fats. Sounds good but it doesn't actually. Burning fat requires a lot of energy. Since there is not much energy in the body to facilitate metabolism of fat, it will run at a very slow pace resulting to fatigue, illness and weak immune system.

Low-calorie diet is also compensated for by the body by burning muscle. People on this type of diet who revert back to their old eating habits end up gaining back some, if not all the weight they have shed off. This would consist mainly of fats. And since fats have more volume per mass than muscle, they end up having the same weight as before but more bulkier. In losing weight, one should keep in mind that they should lose excess body fats only.

However, one can try out eating small meals at more frequent intervals. This way the body will not think that it is being starved and will not store food as fat.

      Eat Properly

One may have considered junking the crash diet option but he should also not forget to watch what he is eating. Variety must always be considered so that one may be able to get the necessary nutrients from his diet.It is also healthier to eat food which are roasted, steamed or broiled rather than fried. It is also important to include a lot of fiber in the diet. Frequent rehydration is also necessary.

      Pump Up lean Muscle Mass

Muscles burn calories when they work; they even do so at rest. Unlike fats which just lie around, bulge around the pants and dangle beneath the sleeves, muscles burn calories all-day round. With this fact, one can start weight loss by increasing muscle mass. The more muscles, the less fat will be left. This is attainable starting with working out with resistance exercises.

      Engaging in Aerobics

Aerobics are not only good for the heart by increasing cardio-vascular endurance. Aerobics also help in increasing lean muscle mass while simultaneously decreasing excess body fat. Aside from these, aerobics make the metabolic process more efficient and its rate high, even after a long while. Imagine burning fat efficiently while driving along the freeway or even while watching television.

      Extra "Push"

Some people believe that smoking and caffeine can actually help in losing weight. This can perhaps be true; however, they do the body more harm than good because of their side-effects. For that extra "push", one can try out taking food supplements. Afterall, 95% of these products out in the market actually does good.

      On Taking Diet Pills

Over-the-counter diet pills affect the amount of weight one loses as well as how long one keeps that amount of weight off. However, one must be wary of the side-effects of these diet pills. As such, one must faithfully follow the instructions provided for in the packaging. It is also prudent to consult the physician anyway before trying out these drugs and also to find out which type would be best for the individual.

Losing weight does not have to mean sacrifice and suffering. It actually means opening up to a more full and healthy life where one may not have to feel bad about himself having to look the way he does or not being able to do what he wants to do. Losing weight might entail a little adjustments plus the discomforts, but as the old saying goes, "no pain, no gain." Besides fat, what has one got to lose anyway?

Here's hoping this helps you on your way. If there is any more I can do just contact me.

Only product that ever worked for me was ephedrine, but now that you can only get in on the internet, from producers I am not familiar/confident with, I am not sure what products are truly effective.

    • ANSWER:
There are several reputable online companies that sell ephedrine. I've ordered from several with no problems. I would post the URL, except every time I do my account gets suspended.

  37. QUESTION:
Is there a way to estimate how many inches of weight loss would equal a pound?
I don't weigh myself because I care more about how I feel about myself and what size I am than how much I weigh (plus I have muscle and weigh more than someone who doesn't). But I do measure myself to chart progress and am curious...I started a diet in February and have lost 14 1/2 inches - I'm 5'1" and am back in size 4. Is there any way to estimate how many pounds 14 1/2 inches might be?

    • ANSWER:
My personal trainer said to to plan 2 lbs. for every inch that you want to lose. So if you have lost 14 1/2 inches maybe around 29 lbs. That may be fat lbs. lost rather than overall lbs. lost since you have been lifting.

  41. QUESTION:
    weight loss question?
i know that the question shud be in the fitness section
    anyway,i am being homeschooled
i am not a coach potato i mean i help my mum around the house lift heavy stuff etc.
i am 5"2 and weigh 8 stones and am in the smallest frame on the weight chart for my height
but i need stomach exercises that i can do at home, easily
    any ideas

    • ANSWER:
A lot of people are going to say sit-ups or crunches, but they're not going to do anything for you if you have a bunch of stomach fat. They'll help tone your stomach muscles, but you'll still have the layer of fat and therefore won't see any visible results.

To burn fat, do cardio exercises (running, jogging, jump-roping, basically anything that really gets your heart rate up) in addition to stomach exercises like crunches.

I suggest getting one of those workout tapes that has a bunch of different ab exercises - that'll probably help you more than sit-ups alone.

  42. QUESTION:
Need motivation for Weight Loss!?!? please help?
    Hey!
I am a 17 year old college student male, 5'11'' height, i weight 215 pounds :( My "fat" is mostly in my abdominal area, and some on my thighs.. I hate it! I'm sick of being chubby, and flabby. I joined a gym two months ago, and I enjoy going there, when I started I kept going for 2-3 weeks and lost like 13 pounds, and I pretty much gained them back, cause I lost interest and stopped.. Plus, when I went I'd work out hard, like I was able to run a mile non stop, and then do treadmill on a slop, plus the elliptical and weight machines, but after my exercise I just felt like "rewarding" myself with a chicken burger at mcdonalds or burger king! which was BADD! How do I mantain motivation? I'm going to start again, hopefully fully determined, plus my dad promised me that if I lose a certain amount of weight he will be me an Ipad. ohh, and now I made a chart with my weight loss.. I'll just be putting in my weights like every three days NO foods, I can't do the "write everything down you eat"..
    THANKS! :)

    • ANSWER:
Here's a quick quide you can follow to help flatten your stomach. Print this list out and post it somewhere in your house where you'll see it.

      1. Walk/jog for 30 minutes at least 3 times per week to boost your metabolism in order to burn that fat.

      2. Eat a small handful of almonds (at least 6) every morning. Almonds are one of the healthiest snacks you can eat and the protein is good for burning fat.

      3. Purchase a Pilates DVD and do the exercises at least 2-3 times per week. Pilates works on toning your entire body with concentration on your powerhouse (middle section) and will improve your flexibility.

      4. Add fiber to your diet and cut down your intake of the bad carbs. Foods such as white bread, pastas, potatoes, and white rice should be limited. Eat brown rice and whole wheat bread instead. To get that needed fiber increase your intake of fresh fruits and vegetables (especially the leafy green ones).

Follow the link below for a full list.

How can I loss my weight?
How can I loss my weight? I had an accident & that’s why I can’t walk or workout properly .I can walk slowly, but that's not enough. My age is 28 & my weight is 84 kg & I’m 5’4”. My heaviness is harmful for my feet. So please give me some solution & some diet chart .

    • ANSWER:
      Here are a few tips;

WHEN to eat for losing weight...

      • Eat (at least) three times a day.
Because when you eat only once a day, your metabolism gets slower than it already is! That's the main reason. Sounds funny, but to lose weight... you must eat (the right things, of course)
      • Eat low-fat, high-fiber foods such as salads and vegetable pastas.
      • Your last meal should be before 18:00. Try.
      OK, one apple after 18:00
      • Don't starve
Starvation is not good for losing weight, nor your health.
Starvation is the worse thing you can do in a weight loss diet.
      • Try oatmeal instead of cornflakes for breakfast--eating oatmeal can help reduce cholesterol levels, and its high fiber content will keep you full longer.

WHAT to drink for losing weight...

      • Drink 6-8 glasses of water every day !
Can be tap, plain, mineral, sparkling. I just love mineral sparkling water!
This improves your bowel, reduces the "hunger" sensation, and hydrates your skin. Your skin will look much better after the first weeks!
Don't believe the slogan "water makes me fat". Beside being stupid... you might get into serious troubles with your kidneys.
      • Drink ONLY natural juices, freshly squized!
Don't drink Coca Cola, Pepsi, Spite etc. during the diet. Even lite or light versions.
I thought this was not possible for me to achieve. Now... I don't even LIKE them anymore!
Nothing compares to the the smell of a fresh natural fruit juice! Not speaking about health...
      • Avoid those vending machines by carrying around your own healthful foods and leaving pocket change at home.

As for exercise, since you cant do it much, maybe do some simple stretching everyday. or just walk around your house, clean your house or just anything. as odd as it sounds one can burn calory from cleaning house.

      Good Luck!

  47. QUESTION:
    What websites for weight loss?
I'm looking for this site that i cant seem to find..
It shows if you eat a certain amount of calories, you lose an amount of weight
and it shows a chart of the weight decreasing...
If anyone know what im talking about.. please comment :D

    • ANSWER:
      3500 kcal = 1 lb of fat

Estimate your daily needs to MAINTAIN YOUR WEIGHT by the following equation (this is the Miffilin-St. Jeor equation):

      Male: BMR = 10×weight + 6.25×height - 5×age + 5
      Female: BMR = 10×weight + 6.25×height - 5×age - 161
-Weight in KG, height in CM

Then multiply the answer by an activity factor of either 1.2 (for no exercise) or 1.3 (minimal/light exercise) - most people fall between these two ranges.

Subtract 500 calories from that number to get an estimate of what you'd need to eat to lose approximately 1 lb/week. Your mileage may vary as the equation is just a rough estimate, so you may lose a bit more or you may need to cut more calories - typically an additional 200-300 does the trick.

  48. QUESTION:
Anyone know that weight-loss calculator website...?
I'm looking for a website where you put in how many calories you eat per day and it shows you a chart of your predicted weight loss over the next few months. i used to know it but i forgot what the site it, its "lose" something...im not sure, maybe that's not it at all...

  49. QUESTION:
a friend of mine had weight loss, lap band surgery and shes lost 28 lbs in 2 weeks, im jealous...how?
how does it make u lose 28 lbs in 2 weeks?????

shes not even that heavy, maybe 80 lbs?

im 50 lbs over my weight /height chart and a size 9/10 in pants and m-L in shirts... can i have lap band surgery?

    • ANSWER:
Just drink plenty of water and engage in good healthy diet. Plenty of protein, fruits, veggies. Keep your carbohydrates to under 20% of daily intake. Portion control is essential to dieting. Eat 5 or six smaller meals a day.

An easy exercise program can be done, stretching for flexibity, cardio for endurance and fat burning, and either calastetics or weigh training for muscle tone and strength. Also remember that muscle wieghs more that fat, but it is leaner and more dense.

Its important to decrease caloric intake while increasing calories burnt in a day. That is the key to losing wieght. I have dropped almost 20 lbs in the past two and half months, simply by changing a few eating habits and exercising moderately. Good luck.

  50. QUESTION:
Whose in for a custom site for weight loss?
I am a professional programmer and can create a custom site where you create and account and update and it has features to post daily pic, stats, charts, progress, journal, top 10 losers (winners), blogs, chat, support groups, etc.
Sort of like the my-fat-loss-space of the web. Maybe we can have a donation or an optional feature to join for premium account, then every 3 months someone is voted to win that money for best progress(weekly pics required).

Duno. I feel like this is a better incentive that pushes people get in shape. I am also a certified personal trainer and will dedicate as much time as possible to answer questions. Perhaps I can also recruite some buddies to do the same.
Will start the site with me losing 15 pounds to my goal of 175!

What do you think of this idea?

    • ANSWER:
I think that sounds great, as long as you could join for free and still have basics benefits....

It seems like it may be expensive though. To host it and upkeep the site.

There are other sites out there but the membership fees are pretty high...

I really do love the idea however.
